Maria Byrne and the Broken String

A holding page has been created for Maria Byrne and the Broken String. Irish singer-songwriter Maria releases her single ‘Home’ on October 3rd followed by the debut Album – Little Basement on Oct 24th 2011. I'm currently designing a custom theme HTML5 Wordpress site which will go live shortly. Check out the site where you can listen to Maria's folk influenced, gorgeously infectious songs.

A while back I was experimenting with jQuery and re-produced some infographics that I had originaly mocked up in Flash. World's Most Expensive Buildings and World's Most Disastrous Oil Spills have been added to the porfolio section. More to follow.

forwind.net, the record label site which got a redesign this summer, will soon be migrated to HTML5 and upgraded from Ruby on Rails 2 to 3. Primarily for better audio support on mobile devices (audio on the site is currently Flash only). There will also be an online shop for physical releases.

 

 

Obligatory Blog

There are currently around 70 million blogs on the internet. About 120,000 new blogs are being created worldwide each day. That's about 1.4 blogs created every second of every day.

We figured there was probably room for 1 more.

The 9thfloor blog is under development and should go live within a few weeks. It's actually an excuse to learn Ruby on Rails which should enable us to offer a customised CMS to clients in the not so distant future.
